Update - February 2021
The frequency of destructive weather events is increasing in Fiji. Recent storms have caused flooding in many areas. The Friends of Fiji Board of Directors has decided to make this an ongoing fundraising campaign. We will continue to forward funds raised to Fiji Red Cross, or other reliable relief organizations in country.
December, 2020
Fiji has once again been struck by a severe storm. Over the past few days, Tropical Storm Yasa has brought destructive winds, rain, and flooding to many parts of the country. In order to facilitate contributions to relief efforts, Friends of Fiji has set up this fund. All donations made to this fund will be forwarded to Fiji Red Cross Society.
The Friends of Fiji Board of Directors believes this will be the most expeditious means of getting putting your donations to work at this time. As rebuilding begins and we learn of specific projects requiring funding, we may set up targeted fundraisers for those projects.
