The purpose of this fund was left broad intentionally, leaving room to provide some funding for events and activities the Peace Corps' budget policy might not permit, e.g. Friday afternoon grog session, or drinks at swearing in, holiday, & COS functions. The fund has been used for such purposes on many occasions with great appreciation from the PCVs who have partaken. During the 50th Anniversary Celebrations the fund may be used to host a mixer for current volunteers and returning RPCVs, and to subsidize current volunteers who would like to attend any function for which there is a cost (the opening lovo dinner for example). Funds will be used only for the currently serving PCVs and host country staff portion of any cost.
